Just something quick that I wanted to try.
Just a short video of proof of concept of a quick cut montage of a Team Deathmatch game in Call of Duty Cold War. I captured and edited the video. Video edits include, logo’s, titles, transitions, text animation’s and render quality.
This was a quick freelance job where the client wanted a 3d gold bar floating and rotating above a pedestal. This project was made in 3DS Max.
These are a few demo videos I have put together from following an Udemy course by Daniel Walter Scott.
As I stated in a previous post, I have been working for a company called Clysmic Studios who have been working on an FPS mod for UDK. I am designing the HUD for the game and it will be utilizing scaleform. This is the second concept made using Photoshop, and I will have a 3rd one on the way shortly.

This is my first attempt at combining a 3d model with traditional 2d art to create a kind of hybrid hud. It would essentially be for any HUD that requires a numerical and visual value to represent whatever you would want it to. In this case, the gauge is for ammo and the large green bar is for health. In the end though it is almost impractical for the major genres of games (FPS, RPG’s), to design it this way due to it being hard to get specific info displayed and make it large enough for the player to read. However if this was a HUD designed say for a 2d point and click game where specific info is not needed but only the general idea then I beleive this would suit it just fine.
I also decided to try and make this HUD in a different version, one that may work well with first person shooters and role playing games. You can find it under my UI Work page or here at this link.
